Remember: You Are Loved, You Belong, and You Matter – A Message of Hope for Teens Facing Tough Times

In case no one has told you today: You are loved. You belong. You matter. You are stronger than you realize, and you will get through this. Don’t give up.

Life can be overwhelming at times, and when you’re in a dark place, it may feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But it’s important to remember—you are not alone.

Whether it's reaching out to a friend, writing your thoughts down, or seeking professional help, every step you take matters. It’s okay to struggle, and it’s more than okay to ask for support. The world needs you. No one is perfect, and that’s okay. Resources like the 988 Lifeline are always available if you’re feeling lost or overwhelmed.

You deserve to be here, and even if the light ahead seems distant right now, it’s there. Your feelings are valid, and it's okay to take life one day at a time.

Personally, I rely on my parents as a source of strength in tough times. They’ve always been my biggest support system, keeping me grounded and reminding me that I don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. For any teen going through a tough time, my advice is to lean on those who care about you and don’t hesitate to ask for help. Talking to trusted adults in programs like the FORT Teen Hangout is a safe and valuable option—you don’t have to carry your burdens alone. Be strong. You got this.
